JWPR RESTAURANT PR

Since it launched in October 1995, Jori White PR has established itself as one of the UK's leading restaurant PR specialists.

Although it now has a broad cross-section of clients in a variety of arenas, the agency's passion for food - and in particular the restaurant industry - remains undimmed.

A key to JWPR's continued success in the field of restaurant PR has been its ability to place its clients not just in dedicated features and reviews sections, but in the mainstream press as a whole.

One of JWPR's most successful campaigns was for Acorn House, London's first eco-friendly restaurant. Working hand in hand with the partners (the Eat Green consultancy, Shoreditch Trust and Terrence Higgins Trust) to ensure that the correct messages were communicated, the agency co-ordinated a full programme of events on opening day spearheaded by coverage on BBC TV Lunchtime and Evening News. The follow up campaign was equally impressive, helping Acorn House to win the prestigious Observer Food Monthly Award for Best New Restaurant.

More recently JWPR launched groundbreaking Swiss vegetarian chain tibits into the UK market, publicising branches in both Heddon Street, W1, and Westfield. The company is also currently working with the unique Brazilian/Japanese eatery, sushinho.

Other restaurant PR credits include the launches of both The Living Room W1 in Heddon Street and Zuma in Knightsbridge, the latter subsequently being hailed as London's "most fashionable restaurant of the decade". In addition, JWPR also achieved blanket coverage - from Vogue to the LA Times - for the opening of the Courthouse Kempinski Hotel on Great Marlborough Street.

Another highly successful PR campaign saw the agency introduce the world to the new Ronnie Scott's, devising an all-encompassing media blitz that focussed on the legendary venue's new management team, the refurbishment of the club and restaurant and the launch of the new member's bar, Ronnie's Bar.  Highlights of a campaign that was eventually seen by over 10 million people included a double page spread in The Independent and a feature on Chris Evans' Radio 2 show.

Gloucester Road; the Michelin-starred Quilon in Westminster and Kai Mayfair; which recently became only the third Chinese restaurant in the UK to achieve a coveted Michelin star.
