As January sees everyone going detox crazy, so Paul Rankin, the Ready Steady Cook stalwart and owner of hugely successful Belfast-based restaurant Cayenne, is flying the flag for detoxing the natural way.
From pills to brushes to footpads, there is no shortage of 'wonder' products on the market. Unfortunately, research suggests that far from working, many of them may actually be detrimental to the health.
Rankin maintains that a better method is to opt for a healthy balanced diet consisting of ingredients from the main food groups. To this end, he has devised an exclusive selection of healthy eating recipes, from Chicken with Lime and Chilli Lentils to Escalope of Salmon with a Soy Mustard Vinaigrette, to help ease us all into 2010.
