Dormstein
www.domstein.no
Information: jori@joriwhitepr.co.uk |
The first ever MSC certified sustainable Atlantic cod and haddock will arrive soon in UK supermarkets. This fish is line caught by Domstein - one of Norway's oldest family-owned fishing companies.
Thanks to Domstein's pioneering efforts, consumers who have become increasingly concerned about buying cod amid dire warnings of declining stocks, can buy confident in the knowledge that this MSC-certified produce was caught in a sustainable way that safeguards seafood supplies for future generations.
Not only are Domstein's products ethical, but they taste fantastic too. Both the cod and haddock feed on a good diet of shrimps and smaller pelagic fish which means that they are delicious — and full of nutritional value.
The Domstein fishery was founded at the beginning of the last century in Måløy on the west coast of Norway. Over the last century, its fishermen have built up both a unique knowledge of the sea and a deep respect for their environment.
The culmination of this respect was when Domstein's haddock became the first in the world to be MSC-certified while its cod became the first in Europe and the second in the world. |

999 It's Time
www.999itstime.com
Information: jori@joriwhitepr.co.uk |
999 It's Time has a simple but potent intent: to transform 9 September 2009 — 9.9.9 — into a pivotal moment in time when the maximum number of people make the maximum volume of noise to state a clear intention: that it's time to change the world we live in.
An online and media campaign, together with a nine week national road-show, will draw attention to nine different fields in which people can bring about big changes, including environment, politics, community and consumerism. Each field will feature celebrity ambassadors championing their causes and the actions to be taken. These comprise: Bruce Parry, Charlotte di Vita MBE, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Misty Oldland, Pete Myers, Polly Higgins, Rory Spowers, Sam Roddick and Tamsin Omond.
999 Day itself will see a celebration of empowerment through the solidarity expressed by a simultaneous national action at 9am. Furthermore, the public will be asked to make at least one of the suggested changes on the day itself, which will be tracked and monitored for a national statistic.
999 It's Time was conceived by the writer Rory Spowers, co-Founder of The Web of Hope (www.thewebofhope.com), a UK registered charity specialising in environmental education. |

The London Smile Clinic
Ground Floor East, 40-44 Clipstone Street, London, W1W 5DW Tel: 0207 255 2559
www.londonsmile.co.uk
Information: caru@joriwhitepr.co.uk |
Having achieved a reputation as a true centre for excellence and innovation in cosmetic dentistry, the award-wining London Smile Clinic can, not surprisingly, offer its patients the latest techniques in contouring, an increasingly popular practice as embraced by 'A' listers such as Katie Holmes.
Cosmetic contouring is a quick and simple way to tidy a smile. It is great for smoothing minor chips, eliminating shallow pits or grooves and reshaping pointy teeth. The London Smile Clinic also recommends the process for redefining worn teeth that have lost some of their enamel.
Aside from the aesthetic benefits, smoothing the teeth and repairing overlaps can make them easier to clean, thereby reducing the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.
Cosmetic contouring involves minimal discomfort and can usually be carried out in just one visit. Although only a subtle procedure, it can make a big impact, particularly when used in conjunction with a treatment such as tooth whitening. In some cases it can even be used as an alternative to braces. |
