In June 2006, legendary Soho jazz venue Ronnie Scott’s re-opened its doors after three months of extensive refurbishment under the guidance of new owner, famed theatre impresario and producer, Sally Greene. Although the club has been subtly updated courtesy of renowned Parisian designer Jacques Garcia - whose impressive portfolio includes the Black Bar at the Hotel Costes in Paris and the Hotel Victor in South Beach, Miami - it will still maintain its rich tradition of bringing the world's finest jazz musicians to the capital.
Among those scheduled to appear over the summer months are David Sanborn, Carleen Anderson, Chris Botti, Chick Corea and Wynton Marsalis, widely acknowledged as the most accomplished and acclaimed jazz artist and composer of his generation.
Complementing this unrivalled line up is Ronnie Scott’s new food and drink offering. Served between 6pm and 9.30pm, the Pre Show Menu costs just £23 per head and will combine high quality traditional English fare with such delicacies as grilled aubergines with tomato and crispy roast duck breast with parsnip puree.
After 9.30pm guests will be able to choose from a more informal à la carte menu. An extended and improved drinks and wine list will also be available.
